The Hot Tomato Café and Pizzeria in Fruita has scheduled a benefit event for the Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
The “Paws and Pies” fund-raiser is set for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 7 at the restaurant at 124 N. Mulberry St., and 10 percent of sales will go to the Roice-Hurst animal shelter and adoption center.
The event also will include other activities between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., including dog adoptions and a Roice-Hurst information table with merchandise for sale. The Chow Down Pet Supplies location in Fruita will offer giveaways as well as conduct a drawing for prizes.
