Janie Van Winkle of Fruita joined the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association board even as a new president was inducted during the annual convention of the trade organization in Breckenridge.
Van Winkle is one of eight regional representatives — and one of two representatives from the southwest quarter of Colorado — to serve on the board.
Gene Manuello of Sterling was inducted as the new president of CCA, succeeding T. Wright Dickenson of Maybell. Frank Daley of New Castle is president-elect.
“My vision for the coming year for CCA is to remain a strong voice for the beef industry,” Manuello said.
Founded in 1867, the CCA is the oldest association representing cattle producers in the United States. For more information, visit www.coloradocattle.org
