The D51 Foundation is teaming up with Elevate Kids for the 5th Annual Elevate Kids Fun Run on April 12 at Las Colonias Park, 1461 Riverfront Drive in Grand Junction.

This event is for participants of all ages and abilities, whether they’re in it to win or out for a fun Sunday morning walk. Participants can run or walk 2.5K, 5K and 10K, and the registration fees are $25, $30 and $35, respectively. Registration on the day of the race increases $5 for each distance.

There will be a free “Hatchling Hustle” for the littlest participants (ages 4 and under).

Proceeds benefit Elevate Kids, a nonprofit organization that is raising money to support local school physical-education programs, Kids Aid Backpack Program, Girls on the Run and other local kid-focused nonprofits.

Register online at elevatekids.org, and when you register, be sure to select your school. The school’s PE department will receive a portion of the registration fees.
