Fund-raiser has plumbing firm in the pink

Peterson pink truckPeterson Plumbing in Grand Junction plans to donate up to $500 to a cancer survivorship program as part of a fund-raiser in which participants take photographs of the company’s pink truck.

The Spot the Pink Truck contest is set to run through Sept. 30. Participants who post photos of themselves and the truck on the company’s Facebook page will be entered into a competition to win a fun night out, including dinner for two and painting at the Palette.

Peterson Plumbing will donate $10 for every photo posted up to a total of $500 to the cancer survivorship program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. The program offers support and education to those affected by cancer.

“Our goal is to create a fun-filled campaign to raise awareness for the fight against cancer while giving back to local people who are battling the deadly disease,” said Robin Stevens, part owner of Peterson Plumbing.

Peterson Plumbing will offer daily clues on its Facebook page about the location of the pink truck.
