The leader of an economic development group in Mesa County has been appointed to the board of directors of a statewide economic development organization.
Kelly Flenniken, executive director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, has joined the board of the Economic Development Council of Colorado.
The council promotes economic development throughout the state while representing the economic development interests of the private and public sectors.
Flenniken has served as executive director of GJEP for about a year. She joined GJEP in November 2008 as business development manager. Prior to joining GJEP, Flenniken held positions in the public sector with Denver Parks and Recreation and the City of Chicago.
