Robin Brown, executive director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP), has been selected to participate in an educational program for public leaders.
Brown has been accepted into the Gates Family Foundation Public Leaders Fellowship at Harvard University. She’s scheduled to attend the senior executives in state and local government program in July at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. The three-week program brings together public leaders working to find solutions for the challenges their organizations and communities face.
“It is a huge honor to be accepted into this fellowship program and learn from the world-renowned faculty at Harvard Kennedy School,” Brown said. “I look forward to bringing new ideas and inspiration back to our Grand Valley community, which is critically important, especially during this time of economic crisis.”
Brown has worked as executive director of GJEP since December 2017. She previously worked as event management director of the Downtown Grand Junction Business Improvement District and led a fund-raising campaign for the Avalon Theater downtown. She served in the Army as a helicopter pilot and also commanded a company of pilots and crew.
