The Grand Valley Gold’s Gym has been named the top franchise for the gym chain.
The Franchise of the Year Award, presented at the Gold’s Gym International Convention in Las Vegas, recognizes excellent customer service, community outreach programs and efforts to promote the Gold’s Gym brand through superior facilities and operations. Out of 600 Gold’s Gym locations in the United States, less than 10 ever have received the award.
Bryce Berry, managing partner of the Gold’s Gym franchise in the Grand Valley, attributed the award to the staffs at the Gold’s Gym locations in Grand Junction and Clifton.
“The gym is only as good as the people delivering service inside, and the associates at both facilities have a true passion for what they do.”
The Gold’s Gym facility in Grand Junction also was selected in 2009 as the best new gym in the United States for the company. At 57,000 square feet, the gym was among the largest to open in 2008 for the gym chain. The Clifton facility also opened in 2008 and subsequently relocated into a renovated building that once housed a grocery store.
Established in Venice, Calif., in 1965, Gold’s Gym has grown into one of the largest full-service gym chains in the world with a total of more than 700 locations in the United States and 27 other countries.
