Registration is underway for a benefit golf tournament to raise funding for a program to bring Spanish language classes to more local elementary schools.
The CaddyShack Golf Tournament is set for April 13 at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The event will feature a four-person scramble along with a driving range challenge, hole-in-one contest and other activities.
Proceeds will go to BeLingual Kids, a nonprofit organization based in Grand Junction that helps children learn Spanish. The organization offers classes for a total of more than 500 students at Appleton and Wingate elementary schools and plans to offer additional classes in other schools as funding becomes available.
