One of the privileges of editing a business journal is telling stories about successful companies, especially those that demonstrate that certain knack for doing things right. That’s certainly the case with the cover story about Timberline Bank.
The bank — which operates locations in Grand Junction as well as Montrose and Aspen — is among 50 firms selected as Colorado Companies to Watch.
Add that recognition to the selection earlier this year of Timberline Bank as the SBA Colorado Rural Lender of the Year.
The bank was launched in 2004 to fill what its founders saw as a niche for a locally owned and operated institution that could really get to know its customers and their needs. The subsequent growth of the bank goes to show what a commitment to service and a culture of collaboration can accomplish.
