A Grand Junction-based information technology firm ranks among the fastest-growing companies in the United States, according to the latest results of an annual list compiled by a national magazine.
Networks Unlimited ranks 475th in the 2018 Inc. magazine list of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies.
Inc. compiles the list based on proportional revenue growth over a three-year span — in the case of the latest list, between 2014 and 2017.
A total of 136 Colorado companies made the 2018 list. That includes Boulder-based PopSockets, ranked second overall.
Networks Unlimited reported $4.2 million in revenue in 2017, up 65 percent from 2014. The firm ranked 2503rd on the 2009 Inc. list.
Network Unlimited operates offices in Grand Junction and Montrose employs a staff of 30 and offers a range of IT services as well as computer and networking sales and support in Western Colorado. Mark Swain founded the company in 2001.
The Inc. listing is the latest recognition for Networks Unlimited, which also was among the 50 winners of the Colorado Companies to Watch program for 2018. The program honors so-called second stage companies for their innovative products, unique processes and performance in the marketplace as well as their philanthropic efforts.
Networks Unlimited also was named to the Top 500 Managed Service Providers and Top 250 Tech Elite in North America for 2018.
