Mike Stahl and Dick Thompson have been appointed to the Connect for Health Colorado board of directors.
Stahl serves as chief executive officer of Hilltop Community Resources based in Grand Junction. Thompson serves as executive director and CEO of Quality Health Network also based in Grand Junction. Hilltop provides a range of services and programs in Western Colorado. QHN operates a health information exchange in the region.
The board oversees the operation of Connect for Health Colorado, a health benefit exchange that helps businesses and individuals purchase insurance and receive financial assistance.
“I’m proud to add my Western Colorado voice to this important statewide board,” Stahl said. “Connect for Health Colorado’s mission to increase access, affordability and choice of health insurance has long been a focus here at Hilltop. We have seen firsthand how assisting individuals navigate the confusing world of health insurance through Hilltop’s B4 Babies, CHP+ and health access services can make a significant difference in their quality of life.”
Thompson said he’s eager to join in efforts to improve health care coverage. “We’ve had significant success in Western Colorado bringing together broad and often disparate coalitions to tackle difficult problems, and I look forward to bringing this experience to bear statewide.”
