Grand junction firm plans new publication focusing on art and wine in Colorado

A Grand Junction company plans to publish a Colorado guide for art and wine collectors.

Wild Kat Media expects to distribute more than 15,000 copies of Western Colorado Journeys to visitor centers, tasting rooms, art galleries and other locations throughout Colorado in the spring. Wild Kat Media plans to combine the glossy keepsake guide with an interactive website and online gallery.

Kat Rhein, publisher and chief executive officer of the firm, said she’s “thrilled” with the way the inaugural issue and website are coming together. “So many regions in other states have specialty guides that showcase their art. And here we have the added beauty of wine country,” Rhein said. “I was simply unable to shake the obvious need for our own specialty guide and online gallery. The more I researched, the more I learned. And so, Western Colorado Journeys was born.”

The more than 200-page guide will be produced by GV Custom Publishing, a division of Grand Valley Magazine. Ryan, Sawyer & Whitney designed the website. For more information, call 270-2096 or visit
