Grand Junction hospice store reopens

A Grand Junction store that sells donated clothing, furniture and other merchandise to raise money for Hospice & Palliative of Western Colorado has reopened following a three-week expansion and renovation project.

Heirlooms for Hospice, located at 635 Main St., now features new departments, new merchandise and a new feel, said Kathy Martin, regional manager. “We are so excited about the new Heirlooms,” Martin said. “Our goal is to provide an outstanding shopping experience for our customers with some of the best merchandise around.”

The expanded and renovated store now includes a year-round Christmas department as well as departments featuring antiques, clothing, furniture and home decor.

Heirlooms for Hospice sells donated merchandise and is staffed primarily by volunteers to raise money for Hospice & Palliative of Western Colorado.

The nonprofit organization provides a range of services to individuals and families facing serious illnesses and grief. Based in Grand Junction, Hospice serves Delta, Mesa, Montrose and Ouray counties.

“Heirlooms is so privileged to receive such great donations from our community. And now we have an even more stunning place to showcase our unique merchandise,” Martin said.
