A presentation in Grand Junction will feature two researchers talking about new techniques that tailor cancer treatments to individual patients.
St. Mary’s Medical Center has scheduled the presentation for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St. The event is free and open to the public.
Dennis Siamon and Sara Hurvitz, two doctors and researchers at the University of California Los Angeles Jonnson Comprehensive Cancer Center, will lead the presentation.
Siamon and Hurvitz will discuss new cancer treatments and research trends, including personalized medicine that tailors treatments to the characteristics, needs and preferences of individual patients.
The event also will include a question-and-answer session with Siamon and Hurvitz as well as oncologists at the St. Mary’s Cancer Center.
