Grand Junction real estate firm joins national franchise

A Grand Junction real estate business has joined a national franchise in a move intended to access additional resources while maintaining a family operation.

Heiden Homes Realty has joined Weichert Real Estate Affiliates to become the first Weichert office on the Western Slope and fourth in Colorado.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the Weichert family,” said Toni Heiden, owner and managing broker of what is now Weichert, Realtors Heiden Homes Realty.

“Unlike most of the big real estate companies out there, Weichert is family owned, just like us,” Heiden said. “That was a major factor when I was deciding which national realty brand to partner with. Being part of a family owned business means a lot to me.”

Martin Rueter, president of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, said he welcomes the addition of Heiden Homes Realty to a network that serves a total of 300 markets in 39 states. In Colorado, Weichert affiliated officers also are located in Centennial, Colorado Springs and Denver. Each Weichert franchised office is independently owned and operated.

Weichert Real Estate Affiliates ranked as the No. 2 traditional residential real estate franchise in the Entrepreneur magazine Franchise 500 for 2016 and also was identified as one of the fastest growing franchises.

Heiden has worked in real estate for more than 30 years and opened Heiden Homes Realty in 2003. Her son, Trent, and his wife, Melanie, joined the business as agents. Tony Heiden’s husband, Mike Moran, also works there as an agent and helps with management and marketing. Fourteen agents with the firm serve clients throughout Western Colorado.

Toni Heiden said the Weichert network provides the support she needs to grow her business, including help with recruiting agents. “We’re definitely interested in bringing on more agents, but they need to be the right kind of agents. And that’s something Weichert excels at doing.”

Moran said Weichert offers other resources as well. “Real estate is a tough business. The trainings for our agents as well as the market strategies and sales leads provided by Weichert are definite game-changers for us.”
