Grand Junction Subaru shares the love with $20,000 donation

Grand Junction Subaru and Subaru of America donated more than $20,000 to Colorado Discover Ability (CDA), proceeds from the latest Share the Love campaign.

The total was the most for Grand Junction Subaru in its 11 years of participating in the annual effort, said owner Ron Bubar. “I’m so proud of our team and our customers for making this a record year.”

Under the Share the Love campaign, Grand Junction Subaru donated $250 to CDA for every new Subaru sold or leased between Nov. 15, 2018, and Jan. 2, 2019. Over the past five years, the dealership has donated more than $70,000 to area non-profit organizations

Based in Grand Junction, CDA promotes the independence and self-confidence of people with disabilities through outdoor recreation, including camping, cycling and snow and water sports.

“CDA affords people the opportunity to conquer their dreams no matter what their disability might be,” Bubar said. “It’s an organization that truly promotes and encompasses empowerment, and we are so happy to help them help others on their journey.”

Kelly Collini, executive director of the CDA, said she’s grateful for the support. “We are thrilled to be the recipients of the Share the Love event. Donations are an integral part of our organization. And without the support of people like Ron Bubar, Grand Junction Subaru and Subaru of America, we would not be able to continue our great mission.”
