Growers group posts produce calendars

The Colorado Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association has posted displays at City Market, King Soopers and Sprouts Farmers Market stores throughout the state to offer information to shoppers about when fresh produce is available.

The produce calendars show the seasons of typical availability for a total of 44 fruits and vegetables grown in Colorado. “We invested in this produce calendar so that consumers will know when to look for fresh Colorado fruits and vegetables,” said Adrian Card, a founding board member of the association.

Consumers seeking particular produce can log on to www.coloradoproduce.org/produce-directory for additional information.
