Heating, cooling and plumbing business earns service award

Avalanche Heating Cooling & Plumbing in Grand Junction has earned recognition for its customer service for a second year in a row.

Avalanche Heating Cooling & Plumbing earned the Angie’s List 2014 Super Service Award based on ratings on the Internet consumer review service. The company also won the award in 2013.

“This is a testament to the quality of service, products and employees that Avalanche strives for on a daily basis,” said James Ostrander, installation manager. “We are thrilled and honored to have earned the Angie’s List 2014 Super Service Award in three major categories: heating, cooling and plumbing. We credit our employees as well as our company standards for making this possible.”

Angie Hicks, founder of Angie’s List, said only about 5 percent of heating, ventilation and air conditioning companies in Grand Junction perform consistently well enough to earn the Super Service Award.

To earn the awards, companies must receive an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade and review period grade; pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational standards. Service companies are graded on a scale from F to A for price, professionalism and punctuality. Ratings are updated daily.
