Herberger’s offers FAO Schwarz toys

Just in time for the holiday season, Bon-Ton stores has brought the FAO Schwarz brand of toys to its website and department stores, including Herberger’s in Mesa Mall in Grand Junction.

“This cherished brand has been enjoyed by children and families for 155 years, and we are delighted to carry this unique toy collection in our stores,” said Chad Stauffer, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Bon-Ton Stores.

To celebrate the launch,  guests visiting the FAO Schwarz toy department at Herberger’s can participate in an Instagram photo contest by snapping a photo or selfie with their favorite FAO toy or stuffed animal and tagging the photo with #returntowonder and #bontonstyle. Participants who post photos through Dec. 9 will have a chance to win one of three FAO Schwarz prize packages, including a grand prize package that features the iconic 8-foot oversized giraffe.

Families also are encouraged to have fun interacting with and learning about the toys first-hand.
FAO Schwarz has brought back updated renditions of some of its most popular merchandise, including its classic “The Night Before Christmas” book, the piano mat, a collection of plush stuffed animals, remote control retro bumper cars and a motorized train set.

Bon-Ton Stores operates a total of 260 stores in 24 states, including Bon-Ton, Bergers, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Youngers stores. In Grand Junction, Herberger’s is located in the Mesa Mall at 2424 U.S. Highway 6 & 50.
