Employees of Kindred at Home in Grand Junction will gather donations for Food Bank of the Rockies through August as part of a nationwide food drive.
“Our caregivers often tap into community resources to best serve our patients and their families, so they know firsthand the demand for assistance placed upon food banks, pantries and other charitable organizations,” said Dan Olson, a home health specialist with Kindred at Home. “Making sure that the most basic component of good health, food, is available for those in need is the right thing to do for a health care company like Kindred at Home and for the community as a whole.”
Nationwide, Kindred at Home and Kindred Hospice employees hope to top the results of a food drive last year that collected more than 300,000 meals.
