A free presentation offering information about homeowner associations is scheduled for May 12 in Grand Junction.
The presentation is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Mesa County Library, 530 Grand Ave.
The event will address two topics:
Recently enacted laws affecting homeowner associations, including a new debt collection law and penalties for associations that fail to meet required community policies.
Strategies for reserve funding to plan and save for predictable needs while avoiding problems with deferred maintenance, special assessments and lending impediments.
The Grand Junction presentation is part of an ongoing series of events sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, a national homeowners association education and advocacy organization.
Registration is requested. To register or obtain additional information, call Barbara Lucks at 274-1286 or send an e-mail to classes@yourHOAteam.com.
