HopeWest received perfect results for a second consecutive time from an unannounced onsite survey of the Grand Junction-based hospice organization.
“We are thrilled to have received notice that no deficiencies were cited for our survey,” said Terri Walter, chief administrative officer and senior vice president of HopeWest. “It’s not unusual for a hospice to receive deficiencies from a survey, and this shows the tremendous effort on the part of all staff to provide excellent care in the framework of the necessary regulations. We feel that this level of quality in care really sets us apart from other hospices.”
The Health Facilities Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment conducts onsite surveys of hospices every three years to check compliance with federal and state regulations.
HopeWest operates an in-patient hospice in Grand Junction and provides hospice, palliative care and grief support services in Delta, Mesa, Montrose, Ouray and Rio Blanco counties. For more information, call 241-2212 or visit www.HopeWestCO.org.
