Peggy Lamm has joined HopeWest as vice president of development and will lead efforts to raise money for the Grand Junction-based organization offering hospice, palliative care and grief support services in Western Colorado.

“I am excited to begin a new journey with HopeWest and its development team to find new ways of bringing HopeWest’s services to more people in need,” Lamm said.

Lamm brings to her duties experience in fund-raising and communications, most recently as vice president of development at Colorado Mesa University. A former state legislator, Lamm served as chairwoman of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. She also served on the board for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for Ethics, Humanities and the Law.

“Peggy’s experience and knowledge has already made her a key member of the leadership team at HopeWest,” said Christy Whitney Borchard, president and chief executive officer of Family Health West. “Peggy shares the passion we all have for the HopeWest mission, and we are thrilled to have her on our team.”

HopeWest operates an in-patient hospice center and  also provides hospice, palliative care and grief support services in Mesa as well as Delta, Montrose, Ouray and Rio Blanco counties. For more information, visit the Web site at www.HopeWestCO.org.
