Hospital donates turkeys and gift cards

Community Hospital in Grand Junction donated frozen turkeys and more than $4,000 worth of Albertson’s gift cards to the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies to help that organization assist the less fortunate during the holidays. The donation was made in the names of medical providers on the hospital staff.

“Feeding those in need supports the Community Hospital mission of improving the health and wellness of our community,” said Chris Thomas, president and chief executive officer of Community Hospital. “In this season of giving, we really wanted to honor our medical staff with a donation made in their name that would have a significant impact locally.
