Carmen Shipley, director of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation in Grand Junction, is among 40 leaders in the health care philanthropy that have been recognized for their efforts.
Shipley is included in the inaugural Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Forty Under 40 List. The program honors young professionals changing the health care development industry. Shipley and the others will be recognized at the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy international conference scheduled for October in San Diego.
“Carmen has been, and continues to be, an integral part of the leadership team here at St. Mary’s Medical Center,” said Dr. Brian Davidson, president of St. Mary’s. “Her work to strengthen relationships both within and outside of the organization demonstrates her commitment to not only St. Mary’s mission, but to the betterment of our community.”
Shipley brings to her duties more than 15 years of experience in fund-raising and not-for-profit management as well as designation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive. She’s worked for the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation in a variety of roles, the last six as executive director.
