Dr. Brian Davidson, president of St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, has joined the Donor Alliance board of directors.
The organization facilitates organ and tissue donations in Colorado and most of Wyoming, serving a total of more than 100 hospitals and 5.8 million residents in the two states.
“I have had professional and personal interest in organ and tissue donation since the very beginning of my career,” Davidson said. “It is an honor to be invited to serve on the board of such an important health care organization serving our regional community. Organ and tissue donation and transplantation truly embodies a great human gift. It is an amazing process.”
In addition to his leadership role at St. Mary’s, Davidson brings to the nine-member board clinical experience with transplant patients and administrative experience at recovery and transplant centers. A board certified anesthesiologist, Davidson holds both medical and master of business administration degrees from the University of Colorado.
“I continue to be invigorated by each board member’s passion and commitment to help Donor Alliance achieve its mission to save lives,” said Sue Dunn, president and chief executive officer. “We are confident that this expert group of talented individuals will continue to provide strong leadership and direction for our organization going forward.”
