Marcelo Marino has joined Wine Country Inn as director of food and beverages and executive chef of the Palisade hotel.
Marino oversees food services, including the operation of Caroline’s and the Tapestry Lounge as well as catering. He plans to offer lunch service Monday through Saturday starting July 12 as well as a Sunday brunch in Caroline’s starting in September. Mario offers fresh local foods prepared in the classic French tradition.
“This is an exciting change for our culinary service. We are extremely pleased to have Marcelo lead our team to a higher level of performance. His skill as a chef is exceptional and his enthusiasm is infectious,” said Joe Scanlon, general manager of the Wine Country Inn.
A certified chef trainer and ambassador for the Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Marino also plans to train the hotel staff as well as offer culinary classes.
