Hub International Limited has acquired BW Insurance Agency and its more than 40 offices, including operations in Grand Junction.
Employees of BW Insurance Agency will remain in existing locations that will become new Hub offices or relocate to Hub regional offices.
Headquartered in Chicago, Hub International provides a range of insurance as well as employee benefit, investment and risk management products and services through offices in North America.
BW Insurance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of the West, operated a total of more than 40 offices in eight states, including locations in Grand Junction as well as Gunnison and Fort Collins in Colorado. BW Insurance was the 14th largest bank-owned insurance brokerage. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.
“BWIA is an ideal fit for Hub,” said Martin Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer of Hub International. “Our services and industry focus are very complementary, and their operations broaden our geographic foot print in states where we already are located as well as provide new penetration in other states.”
