ICON donation to help fund facility

ICON Eyecare has donated $10,000 to Colorado Mesa University to help pay for a revamped facility housing its health sciences program.

“The donation is being made on behalf of our entire care team on the Western Slope in an effort to invest in the surgical talent of the greater Grand Junction region. As long-term members of this great community, we are committed to the development of the school’s new surgical tech program and look forward to helping more students find opportunities at our great practice,” said
Dr. Rick Anderson, chief executive officer of ICON Eyecare.

Peggy Lamm, vice president of development at CMU, said the money will be used to remodel the soon-to-be-vacated Community Hospital. “Generous gifts such as these address critical space requirements and will advance CMU health sciences programs as well as health care in the Grand Valley,” Lamm said. “We are very grateful to the ICON Eyecare team for stepping up during this exciting expansion.”

ICON Eyecare operates a total of 11 patient care centers in Colorado and Texas. In Grand Junction, Hoffman Eye Care by ICON operates a patient care center at 2643 Patterson Road, Suite 405, offering the services of Drs. Jay Hoffman and James Fox.
