Identity theft presentation planned

A free presentation designed to help people prevent identity theft is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at the Mesa County Libraries central library, 443 N. Sixth St. in Grand Junction.

Jessica Krough, a program specialist with the AARP Foundation regional operations team, will lead the presentation and cover such topics as data breaches, internet safety and practices to keep information safe.

Krough oversees the AARP Foundation fraud prevention call center program, which helps educate and inform older adults about frauds and scams. Krough also helps manage the AARP Foundation ElderWatch program in partnership with the Colorado attorney general’s office.
