In-home care services company among top woman-owned firms

A Grand Junction-based business offering in-home services to seniors, veterans and others who need assistance ranks among the top woman-owned companies in Colorado in the latest results of an annual magazine listing.

Comfort Keepers ranks 74th in the 2014 list of the top 100 woman-owned companies published in ColoradoBiz Magazine. The ranking is based on self-reported gross revenues.

Owned by Ora Lee, Comfort Keepers reported gross revenue of nearly $2.16 million in 2013, a 10 percent increase over 2012.

Comfort Keepers opened in Grand Junction in 2004 with a single caregiver. Today, more than 130 caregivers provide a total of more than 7,200 hours of service each month to clients. Those services include everything from cooking and light housekeeping to assistance with bathing and running errands.

While the Grand Junction office serves the Grand Valley, an office in Montrose serves that city as well as outlying areas. In August, the company opened an office in Englewood.
