Jim Rankin, a pilot and aviation industry executive with more than 30 years of experience, has joined West Star Aviation as chief executive officer.
Bob Rasberry has been named chairman of the board at West Star. Rodger Renaud remains president and chief operating officer of the company that operates facilities across the United States, including Grand Junction.
“West Star is a customer- and employee-focused company, and I’m looking forward to leading the West Star team,” Rankin said.
Rankin will work out of West Star facilities in East Alton, Ill. He brings to his latest position experience as president and CEO of Columbia Helicopters in Oregon, Air Wisconsin Airlines and Skyway Airlines. He began his career as a pilot flying for Midwest Airlines.
