Internet and phone services provider changes name

A company providing high-speed Internet and digital telephone services in rural areas of Colorado, including areas around Grand Junction as well as Delta and Montrose, has changed its name from Skybeam to Rise Broadband.

JAB Broadband, a Denver-based company, has rebranded all of its divisions under Rise Broadband. The company serves a total of nearly 200,000 homes and businesses in 15 states. Customer services were not affected by the name change. Company staff and management remain in place.

The company expects to upgrade its network to offer faster speeds and increased reliability.
