IT firm targets Grand Junction for franchise locations

Grand Junction is among the Colorado markets under consideration as part of an expanding franchise operation for a Texas-based information technology company.

CMIT Solutions also is considering franchises in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, according to a news release from the company.

“We’re at a point in our company’s evolution where we are sailing past the competition. Our technology partners are second to none, and the quality of individuals we are awarding franchises to is beyond compare. It’s good to be CMIT Solutions,” said Jeff Connally, president and chief executive officer.

CMIT Solutions provides a range of information technology services and products to small and mid-sized businesses to ensure their computer systems run, their data is protected and their employees work productively, Since the company was founded in Austin in 1996, the operation has expanded into a network of 135 locally owned and operated locations nationwide.

CMIT Solutions franchises are independently owned and operated. But the company offers franchise owners relationships with such providers as Dell, Intuit and Microsoft as well as corporate support staff and a consulting network of business owners.

“CMIT Solutions’ clients count on us for 24/7 support. We want our franchisees to feel the same way,” said Sheri Vandermause, vice president of franchise development. “Running a business isn’t always easy. But with two-way communication and regular sharing of best practices, we are seeing great things happen for our company and clients.”

Franchise owners need $65,000 to $80,000 in working capital, plus $49,950 for the franchise fee. Franchise owners receive a protected territory based on ZIP codes and a potential market of 2,000 to 3,000 businesses.
