Italian restaurant plans donations to program helping victims of abuse

Pantuso’s Ristorante in Grand Junction will donate a percentage of sales from each Tuesday in April to a Mesa County program offering services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

“I have been overwhelmed by the community’s support of our business and I am happy for the opportunity to give something back,” said Chris Blackburn, owner of Pantuso’s.

A percentage of sales from each Tuesday in April will go to the Hilltop Latimer House, which provides shelter for those experiencing life-threatening situations as well as advocacy and individual and group counseling. The program also operates a 24-hour crisis line.

Pantuso’s, an institution since 1958, recently reopened at a new location in the Clarion Inn, 755 Horizon Drive. Open daily for lunch and dinner, Pantuso’s specializes in Italian cuisine prepared from family recipes. The restaurant also offers a full bar and a selection of Italian wines.
