Marc Foster has taken over as executive director of the KAFM community radio station in Grand Junction.
Foster, who was selected from among 16 candidates, long has served as a volunteer and member of KAFM. He succeeds Ryan Stringfellow, who plans to pursue other business and personal interests.
“Marc’s long-time dedication and experience at the station, combined with strong management and personal skills, as well as extensive experience working with volunteers, made this a great choice,” said Craig Roberts, president of the KAFM board of directors.
Said Foster: “This really is a dream come true. I have loved this station and what it means to our community since the very beginning.
We have been blessed by some incredible and visionary leaders from day one and right on through to today. I am truly honored to have an opportunity to build on that strong foundation.”
In addition to serving as a long-time programmer, Foster served on the KAFM board of directors from 2001 until 2004 and served as music director in 2008 and 2009. He recently returned to the board, but stepped down from that position to become executive director.
