Kannah Creek Brewing Co. has announced plans to open a third restaurant in the Grand Valley.
The new facility, called Kannah Creek Brewing Co. West, is scheduled to open in mid-May at 456 Kokopelli Blvd. in Fruita.
Kannah Creek West will offer service inside as well as outside on a patio. The restaurant will feature a modern fusion fare menu that will accomodate meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. The restaurant will serve 14 Kannah Creek Brewing Co. beers on tap as well as operate a full-service bar.
Kannah Creek West will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Kannah Creek Brewing Co. expects to hire about 50 employees for the Fruita operation and is accepting applcations at its location at 1960 N. 12th St. in Grand Junction.
“The Western Slope community is phenomenal, and we’re excited to share our Colorado product with Fruita,” said Shane Dixon, operations manager for Kannah Creek Brewing Co. “Everyone has already been so welcoming that we can’t wait to get our doors open to meet more of the Fruita community.”
Kannah Creek opened in 2005 in a building that previously housed a buffet restaurant. Kannah Creek initially operated a brewpub and restaurant. The operation subsequently expanded when the Edgewater Brewery opened in 2013 along the Riverside Parkway south of downtown Grand Junction. The facility bottles beers distributed thoughout Colorado and also includes a restaurant.
