Leadership series continues with free presentation on mindfulness

Triad Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has scheduled the next presentation in a series of free workshops designed to help business managers and human resource professionals.

The hour-long workshop, titled “Mindfulness and You,” is set for 3 p.m. May 4 in Training Room A of the Mesa County Annex Building, 544 Rood Ave. Seating is limited to 50 people. For reservations, call Angie at 261-6050.

The workshop will teach participants the importance of remaining present and mindful in the midst of uncertainty and even crises. Studies have shown that mindfulness can strengthen decision-making capabilities and direct attention more affectively.

The presentation is the latest in series called Resources for Organizations, Managers and Employees (ROME).

Based in Grand Junction, Triad EAP serves employers  throughout the Rocky Mountain and High Plains region with counseling and other resources that help employees deal with emotional, financial and legal challenges and help employers handle employee performance problems.
