An event offering demonstrations and information about a range of technological products and services is set for Jan. 23.
The Mesa County Libraries will host its annual tech expo from 4 to 7 p.m. at the central library, located at 443 N. Sixth St. in Grand Junction. The expo is free and open to the public.
The expo will offer demonstrations of the library’s new digital conversion station, digital cameras and live streaming from the 970West Studio. Local technology companies and organizations also will demonstrate their products and services, including a motorized telescope, robotics, three-dimensional printers and virtual gaming.
Participants also will have a chance to learn about downloadable audio books, eBooks, online magazines and other virtual resources available through Mesa County Libraries, including Rosetta Stone and Lynda.
Mesa County Library will highlight the new central library idea lab, a public meeting space with wireless connectivity to a 65-inch high-definition television for presentations as well as a whiteboard wall.
Children can experiment with Cubelets and Lego Mindstorms robotic building sets.
