Library names new administrators

Rachael Hanson has been named head of information services for the Mesa County Libraries. Manny Miracle has been named head of literacy services.

Hanson oversees librarians, helps library patrons find materials and organizes guest speaker appearances. Hanson joined the library staff 15 years ago and has worked in most departments since then. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and master’s degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. She’s working on her master’s degree in library and information science.

Miracle oversees the Mesa County Libraries Literacy Center, which provides adult literacy services, language learning opportunities and instruction for United States citizenship. Miracle brings to her duties experience as a public relations coordinator for a public library system and also has worked in assisting adults with disabilities and seniors. Miracle holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass media and master’s degree in library science.
