March of Dimes honors volunteer leaders

Joe Reed of RE/MAX 4000 and James Pulsipher of Fidelty Mortgage in Grand Junction were honored for their efforts on behalf of March of Dimes.

Reed and Pulsipher received awards for distinguished  leadership in special events for their roles as event chairmen of the 2014 Western Slope Signature Chefs Auction. The event attracted nearly 300 people and raised more than $117,000.

Reed also was named the first recipient of the Clifford Jack Philanthropic Leader of the Year, an award named for the chairman of the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the March of Dimes. Reed became board chairman of the Western Slope Division in 2013 and has been involved in fund-raising as well as sponsor and volunteer development.

The Ale House in Grand Junction also was honored as the top new corporate team for Colorado in raising nearly $12,000 for March of Dimes through a series of events in 2014.
