Mesa County names public information officer

Veronica Daehn Harvey has been hired on a full-time basis as public information officer for Mesa County.

Harvey had worked in a dual role as a public information officer as well as communications manager for the Mesa County Health Department.

“Veronica has done a great job serving both the county and the commissioners over the past several months. I’m thrilled to have her on board full-time,” said Mesa County Administrator Frank Whidden.

Harvey will focus on media relations, content development and promoting the brand and image of Mesa County.

Harvey worked for 10 years as a daily newspaper reporter and editor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska.
