Mission affordable: Powderhorn offers discounted passes

Powderhorn Mountain Resort has launched a program offering discounted season passes as well as additional services to first-time skiers and snowboarders.

The Mission: Affordable program offers season passes for $259 for adults and $149 for children ages 12 to 6. That means a family of four could ski for less than $820. The offer is scheduled to end at 11:59 p.m. April 1.

“One of our core values is that skiing and snowboarding should be more accessible for families and individuals,” said Sam Williams, general manager of Powderhorn. “Now, two adults and two kids ages 12 and under can ski all winter at Powderhorn for the price of a single season passed offered at many other resorts.”

In addition to unlimited lift access for the 2018-2019 winter season, the passes offer discounts on group lessons, rentals and food and beverage purchases. Powderhorn plans to announce additional programs for first-time skiers and snowboarders.

Located on the Grand Mesa east of Grand Junction, Powderhorn Mountain Resort offers 1,600 acres of terrain. For more information, call 268-5700 or visit www.powderhorn.com.
