A mobile learning center offering information about orthopaedic topics and treatment options is scheduled to come to the Family Health West hospital in Fruita.
The Zimmer Mobile Learning Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 in the parking lot of the hospital at 300 W. Ottley.
“It’s an opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about joint replacement and treatment options. It’s open to the public all day to come in and see for themselves what’s available,” said Errol Snider, executive vice president of Family Health West.
Dr. Michael Huang, an orthopaedic surgeon with Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates in Grand Junction, will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer questions about problems and treatments of the knees. Information about exercise therapy at the Fruita Recreation Center also will be available.
