New campground accommodates visitors and outdoor recreation enthusiasts

The Camp, a campground offering sites for visitors and outdoor recreation enthusiasts, has opened in Grand Junction.

“We wanted a convenient place for visitors of our outdoor recreation events to be able to stay and play. We will be open in conjunction with numerous events throughout the year,” said Kevin Bray, co-owner along with Nate Porter.

The Camp is located at 171 Dike Road near the Connected Lakes State Park and offers 57 campsites. Sites measure 20 feet by 40 feet and can accommodate, tents, campers and recreational vehicles.

“All sites are primitive, and we do not have RV hookups. We do supply temporary bathrooms, trash and water service,” Porter said.

“We are really excited to offer this space to people visiting our area,” Bray said. “It’s a perfect location with mountain biking, hiking, fishing and great restaurants just minutes way.”
