Mistalynn Meyeraan has joined the Western Slope Center for Children as executive director.
Meyeraan will oversee the nonprofit center, which provides services to children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. While the center is located in Grand Junction, it serves the Western Colorado region.
Meyeraan brings to her new duties more than 13 years of experience in marketing, public relations, business administration and public management. She worked for Reynolds Polymer Technology, the City of Grand Junction and Winter Park Resort. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Phoenix and a certificate from the public manager program at the University of Colorado Denver.
“She stood out from the other candidates due to her passion to serve our community and strong business background,” said Bill Hilty, president of the center board of directors. “We collectively look forward to the impact that she will bring to elevate this important cause in our community.”
Meyeraan said she’s inspired by the center and its work. “This is primary treatment and prevention at its core and makes a dramatic difference in the lives of the most severely abused children in our community.”
