A new Grand Junction store will sell a range of products from Scotland and Ireland.
Sharon and Sean Taylor plan to open Taylor’s Croft on Jan.18. The store is located at 2478 Patterson Road, Unit 25.
The Taylors are founders of the Grand Valley Scottish Games and Celtic Festival conducted each May at the Mesa County. They’re also co-directors and managers of the St. Andrews Society of Western Colorado. Sharon Taylor was raised in Scotland and maintains connections to Scotland and Ireland.
Taylor’s Croft will offer a variety of tartans and large selection of kilts, including custom kilts and utility kilts. The store also offers bagpipe supplies, accessories and pipe band attire.
Imported goods include Harris tweed and jewelry from Scotland and Aran sweaters and Donegal hats from Ireland. In addition, “Outlander,” “Downtown Abbey” and “Vikings” merchandise is available.
A Scottish afternoon high tea with scones will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
