A Palisade hotel has been selected to host a series of educational and culinary events planned as part of the upcoming Colorado Mountain Wine Fest.
The Wine Country Inn will serve as the venue for a wine and wineglass experience presented by glass manufacturer Riedel; a demonstration and dinner with Marcel Marino, the hotel’s new executive chef; and a chocolate and wine tasting.
Located at 777 Grande River Drive, the Wine Country Inn is nestled in the middle of a vineyard in the middle of the winegrape growing region of the Grand Valley. The facility is the only wine-themed hotel in the region.
“To improve the guest experience, we centralized all of our key events and set them among the picturesque vineyards of Palisade. We cannot wait to showcase the delicious events at such an amazing venue,” said Cassidee Shull, executive director of the Colorado Association of Viticulture and Enology, the trade group that hosts the Winefest as a fund-raiser.
The events at the Wine Country Inn all are scheduled for Sept. 20: the wine and glass experience from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the demo and dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the chocolate and wine tasting from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Admission ranges from $40 to $75 for each event. For tickets or more information, log on to the website at www.ColoradoWinefest.com.
