The National Federation of Independent Business listed Grand Junction’s Rick Taggart among the three Colorado lawmakers who earned 100 percent NFIB voting records during the 2026 legislative session.

In a news release, NFIB Colorado Director Michael Smith commended the lawmakers – Colorado Reps. Taggart, Scott Bottoms and Ryan Gonzalez – for standing up for small business owners.

“Unfortunately, there’s no shortage of bad ideas in Denver, from the attempts to undermine the Labor Peace Act to overly broad employer mandates that come with hefty fines and increased legal exposure. As a result, Main Street Coloradans are struggling against higher costs and a complex regulatory environment,” Smith said. “On behalf of our members across the state, I want to thank these three lawmakers who earned 100 percent by standing up for small business owners.”
