Old Chicago offers coffee-flavored beer

Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom will continue a program offering customers an opportunity to try different beers.

The latest installment of the Explorer Series will feature a collaboration with Left Hand Brewing and Allegro Coffee in creating a coffee pale ale.

The beer, called De’Nilea Coffee Ale, is brewed with Allegro Coffee Blue Nile Blend and available exclusively in Old Chicago locations.

“The Explorer Series has been a great program for us and has exposed our guests to a variety of beer selections they may have never thought of trying before,” said Jason Murphy, brand manager for Old Chicago. “It’s been a treat to collaborate with such iconic breweries and be involved in the creation process with Left Hand for the De’Nilea Coffee Ale, emphasizing the fact that we truly believe in the beer that we serve.”

In addition to the coffee ale, the Explorer Series also will offer  other selections from Left Hand Brewery, including 400 Pound Monkey, Milk Stout Nitro, Sawtooth Ale Nitro and Wake Up Dead Nitro. Milk Stout Nitro is served in Spieglau stout glass.
